Photo Work Flow

Here’s a snapshot of behind the scenes and workflow of my photography projects…

First a client reaches out to schedule their photography appointment. It may be for professional head shots, high school senior pictures, family photos, an engagement session or for wedding photography. I check availability, get details on the shoot, size, location, venue, timing, indoors/outdoors, weather, props, etc. After all details are finalized and a deposit is secured, the photoshoot is scheduled.

I always make sure all camera and external flash batteries are charged and ready to go prior to the appointment. Items usually with me are: camera accessories, tripod, extra camera lenses, extra batteries, memory cards, a second camera, sometimes an assistant photographer, and business cards.

All projects and requests are different and customized for each photography client. After the photo session, I upload and backup all digital images onto my computer and an external hard drive. Then the photo editing process begins.

Any final payment is due before delivery of the images, per our agreement at time of scheduling. Digital images are usually delivered to client via a USB flash drive and/or online cloud file sharing, such as DropBox. Clients can also view their online album here. Also available are custom photo album books, prints and canvas orders.
